How do we start?

Choose a book, open its cover and tap Read aloud. Allow microphone and speech access when your iPhone asks. Read at your natural pace; animations respond to words in the story. You can pause, turn pages yourself or explore the pictures without using the microphone.

What is free?

Lara the Yellow Ladybird, Bathtub Safari and Pip and the Lanterns are complete free books, including their animations. There’s no trial timer. Look inside other books before choosing the Collection.

One purchase. No subscription.

The Bemmi Collection includes 29 additional living picture books for US$19.99 once. Your App Store shows the price in your local currency before you buy. Future collections may be sold separately; they are optional and do not take away books you already bought.

Can both parents use one purchase?

Yes. The Collection supports Apple Family Sharing for up to six people in one family group. Both parents can read on their own iPhones using their own Apple Accounts.

Apple controls family eligibility and sharing settings. Reading progress, preferences and story-night memories stay on each iPhone; they are not shared between family members. Apple’s Family Sharing guide.

Restore a purchase

Use the same Apple Account that bought the Collection, or an eligible family member’s account with Purchase Sharing enabled. Open Bemmi → Settings → Restore Purchases, complete the parent check, and follow Apple’s sign-in prompt if shown. Restoration does not charge you again.

If no purchase is found, check your Apple Account and Family Sharing settings. You can still read the three free books. For a connection error, reconnect and try again. Apple handles refunds through Report a Problem.

Where is my place saved?

Each book keeps its own place on this iPhone. Open the cover to continue. Finished reads appear in Our story nights; Read again starts the book over and keeps those memories. Removing the app removes its local reading data. Restoring a purchase restores book access, not a lost bookmark or reading history.

Does it work offline?

All book art and text are included in the app. Speech setup may need an initial Apple language-model download, and on-device speech support depends on your iPhone and language. Buying or restoring uses an internet connection. Once set up, reading and animations happen on the device.

If pictures don’t react

Check that listening is active, allow speech and microphone permissions in Apple’s Settings, and read in a quiet room at a comfortable distance. Read on naturally rather than repeating words to chase the highlight. You can always turn pages by hand.

Are reads recorded?

Audio recording and testing files are off by default. Normal reading saves your place and story nights, without saving audio or transcripts. Testing tools remain in Settings. To stop new test files, pause listening and turn off Settings → Testing → Save testing files; this also turns audio saving off. Existing files stay until you remove them in Files → On My iPhone → Bemmi. See all privacy and deletion controls.
